That was a total of 64 kilobytes of memory. By comparison a single song is about 25 megabytes compressed to 4 megs in mp3 form. 64 kilobytes today will hardly dot an i.
My current system I built around a Intel P4-3.4 gigahertz processor with hyperthreading and a custom super cooling heatsink (my first processor burned up, the intel heatsink is not good enough for the 3.4ghz processors). ECS 848P-A7 800mhz bus speed motherboard with 2 gigs of ram. Nvidia dual monitor video card to support my 2 monitors. A 80 gigabyte (C) hard drive and a 250 gigabyte (D) drive, both use the new SATA drive technology. Creative Audigy2 sound card. Sony re-writable DVD /CD drive. Windows XP. Between my two computers I have a huge selection of software; music, video, art, voice recognition and a host of utilities.

 MY MUSIC

Toady's music creation technology is incredible.
Broadcast quality can be achieved with ease and at a low cost.

I use FL Studio and Sonar as my primary music software. I think the coolest part of this technology are VST instruments (Virtual Studio Technology) they are virtual software synthesizers called VST plugins. They come in a wide variety of styles and sounds and most are FREE downloads. The basic technology was created by Steinberg (yeah the piano family.
